As Eid al-Adha approaches, Umde Association announced the start of its field and logistical preparations for the 2026 Qurbani Project, aiming to deliver Qurbani meat to thousands of vulnerable families, orphans, and people affected by crises in Gaza, Syria, Afghanistan, and several African countries.

The project comes as part of the association’s ongoing humanitarian efforts in food security and emergency relief. Umde teams, in coordination with local field partners, are organizing the procurement of sacrificial animals, slaughtering, and distribution processes in accordance with Islamic guidelines and approved health standards, ensuring aid reaches the families most in need.

Gaza at the forefront of humanitarian priorities

The association confirmed that this year’s Qurbani project places special focus on affected families in Gaza due to the severe humanitarian and living conditions faced by residents. Umde aims to deliver Qurbani meat to as many families as possible who are struggling to secure basic food needs during the Eid season.

The project will also be implemented in crisis and displacement areas in Syria and Afghanistan, in addition to several African countries, as part of a humanitarian plan aimed at strengthening solidarity and reaching the communities most in need.

Implementation according to Islamic and health standards

The association explained that slaughtering and distribution operations will be supervised by specialized field teams while fully adhering to Islamic rulings and approved health procedures. Sacrificial animals will be carefully selected, slaughtered according to Islamic principles, and the meat will then be distributed fairly and systematically to needy families, orphans, and displaced people.

Umde also emphasized its commitment to documenting all stages of the project by publishing field reports, photos, and regular updates showing the implementation process, distribution mechanisms, and the number of beneficiaries, as part of its policy of transparency and continuous field monitoring.

Call to support the Qurbani Project

Umde Association called on donors and supporters to contribute to this year’s Qurbani Project, emphasizing that every contribution represents a real opportunity to bring joy to vulnerable families and help ease their suffering during Eid.

The association continues to implement humanitarian projects in emergency relief, orphan sponsorship, food assistance, water support, and education, within its mission to serve affected communities and promote the values of compassion and solidarity.
